Reed Hydraulic Bench Vise Swivel

Hard to tell from the picture, but the side away from the “gear teeth” is about 45 degree so it wedges tightens into the teeth. I have been looking for one of these for forty years! Has a foot pump and foot release, both hands free! It makes a pretty good press too. It’ll absolutely crush a two by four! You know; those splintering sounds! I just love the power AND “feel”.

Reed advertised that their vises were better than anyone elses’ at a time when Vice makers all tried to make the best most indestructible product. This is just one feature that made their better. A shame that industry no longer feels that way.
