Nuevo Manual Del
Cerrajero Y Herrero

New Manual for
Locksmith and Blacksmith

A 1998 replica reprint of the 1852 edition. Original in French all Spanish text, illustrations on narrow foldouts at back of book. 4-3/8 x 6 inch with plain paper cover, oiled paper or antique vellum slip cover. Original translation printed in Madrid, Spain 1852.
332 pages, 642 Figures (on 7 sheets), plus many tables.

Having been translated once our attempts to translate parts to English gave very unsatisfactory results. Translating this would require a native speaker of Spanish with a technical background in metalworking and possibly antiques.

Plate seven of seven. A mixture of lock parts and tools including hand vises, leg vises and bench vises. Also shown are anvils, stakes, hammers, tongs, shears and specialty locksmith tools.

Unique early ball swivel mounted bench vise. Extracted from plate 7.

The ball mounted vise is a tool you would expect much later.
