This could be a large jeweler’s anvil or a small bench anvil but it was identified as a Dentists anvil. This is a beautiful pattern.

Alex D. Cunny had a factory in the 1890’s in Cincinnati, Ohio at 223 East Second Street according to a factories inspections report of the time.

Possibly related:
Alexander Cunny was born about 1830-40 in Strasburg, France. He married in in Cincinnati in 1869 and had several children, branches of whom still live in Cincinnati. He died in the early 1930’s near Cincinnati at age 96.
