Late model 100 pound Fisher Anvil

So, how do we know this was a “late model” Fisher? It doesn’t have the traditional Raised Eagle logo cast into it. These later anvils came with an oval paper lable that you can see the ghost of in the photo above.
This is a very clean Fisher with sharp edges.
As many anvils do, this one came with a story of family history. It was supposedly brought to Southern Idaho in the 1800’s. An anvil probably was, but not this one as it was made in the middle of the 20th century. Its still old enough to be “grandpa’s anvil”, just not your great great grandfather’s. . .
