Early (1850’s) Fisher Eagle Anvil

Early (1850’s) Fisher-Norris Eagle Anvil
Photos from Tate Hunsinger.
We can tell this is an early Fisher by the shape of the feet which look like English anvils of the time and the short stout triangular horn and heal.
The poorly cast Eagle logo is typical of many of these anvils. But it was not unusual for other makers to do a poor job with theirs as well, the logo plates nailed on crooked or upside down.
