Theirry found this anvil while shopping at a flea market or “marche aux puces” in Limoges, France. He says,
“I found a hammer and asked the owner if he has any other blacksmith stuff at home. Yes, he answered, he has a huge anvil and gave me his adress. The next day, we visited him an bought the anvil.

I’ve called this a bataeu (French for “small boat”) anvil since the other French anvil looks like a “pig”. This is a member of what I call the Mediterranean anvils (Catalan, French double horn and Italian) which all have short legs or no legs and are double horned.
